Traditional storytelling, hand games, crafts, and a Dene language challenge were just some of the activities enjoyed at this years Kai Taile Dene Days on August 24 & 25.
We had our tent outdoors this time with more displays about the solar farm, saving electricity and the EV (electric vehicle) Kickstart Program. Megan Foster, of Greenplanet Energy Analytics, was on hand to answer questions. A race with 2 electric/solar model cars drew some interest in EVs and discussions on the feasibility of EVs for the Fort Chip community. Other questions centered around the solar farm and electricity costs. A big “thank you” to all the people who dropped by.
