February 20th marked the arrival of “The Growcer” — an indoor hydroponic farm that is contained within a portable seacan.
The Growcer operation is part of an ACFN initiative to train community members on how to grow food indoors with hydroponic technology. The hydroponics project is a pilot designed to test the technology, train local workers and ultimately this project will become a part of 3NE’s Sustainable Food Production Centre.
The Growcer will be located at K’ai Tailé Market.
